I would go with something that has a good name, eg Royal, Suncamp, Coleman, Vango etc...

as these tend to be made with stronger seams and will withstand inclement weather also get one thats has a 3000mm hydrostatic head/water column if the inevitable happens and it rains.

You want on e you cn stand up in also or you will have a sore back.

There are 2 main types tunnel tent and dome tent individual prefeence really as to which oyu would like I have just gone froma dome to a tunnel as my stuff didn't fit in my dome very well. Rolling Eyes

Here are some examples.

Tunnel Tent

Dome Tent

We were looking at tents this morning Nic.
Like Carroll says the named ones are the best ones to look at.We stuck with what we knew Vango and Gelert(obviously biased with this name).
The Gelert Alaska tunnel tent was great.Although the price on the net when we checked it out was £160..the price in Gordale was £149.We could stand up in this one and it had lots of windows..otherwise I would get claustrophobic. It seemed quite roomy too.It just depends on what you want to pay I suppose. But if you Google those two names it will give you a better idea what you need.Good Luck in your search Smile

This are very easy to put up. Don;t go for dead cheap ones as they are... well cheap! You get what you pay for hey...
I have a 6 birth one from this company and it is very good quality.

Be back with more Wink

ohhh! look at this site! very good prices and huge selection!

http://www.tents-direct.co.uk/dome_tents.php?minBerth=4&maxBerth=4

I would personally go for a dome tent as they are very easy to set up and roomy!

I don't know I go into a meeting for a couple of hours and all hell breaks loose!!!! Ha ha ha!!!

Right yes I'm 24 and have just got married and have no kids, but just wanted a reasonable sized one, that maybe I could take my younger brothers or sisters with me in the future if we decide we like it.

Thanks for all your suggestions - its great having someone else doing all the legwork - hope you all don't mind! I'll have a look at them all Very Happy

Nic I'm gonna stick my 2 penneth worth in now! Laughing

We've just bought a Sunncamp vario 6 (sleeps 6). Connect 5 poles/rods and it's up then all you do is connect up the bed chambers to the inside. It's supposed to be erected in 30 mins. The outer tent goes up first which keeps you dry if it's chucking it down.

Last time I looked you could buy the Vario 5 on ebay.

Happy hunting Laughing
