I would go with something that has a good name, eg Royal, Suncamp, Coleman, Vango etc...
as these tend to be made with stronger seams and will withstand inclement weather also get one thats has a 3000mm hydrostatic head/water column if the inevitable happens and it rains.
You want on e you cn stand up in also or you will have a sore back.
There are 2 main types tunnel tent and dome tent individual prefeence really as to which oyu would like I have just gone froma dome to a tunnel as my stuff didn't fit in my dome very well.
Here are some examples.
Tunnel Tent
Dome Tent

We were looking at tents this morning Nic.
Like Carroll says the named ones are the best ones to look at.We stuck with what we knew Vango and Gelert(obviously biased with this name).
The Gelert Alaska tunnel tent was great.Although the price on the net when we checked it out was £160..the price in Gordale was £149.We could stand up in this one and it had lots of windows..otherwise I would get claustrophobic. It seemed quite roomy too.It just depends on what you want to pay I suppose. But if you Google those two names it will give you a better idea what you need.Good Luck in your search
