I give Alfie either pilchards/sardines or mackeral in tomato sauce about 5 nights a week. I only give him half a tin a night though with his kibble and then the other half the next night. Every morning he has just plain kibble though.
I was just wondering if he's having too much fish and tomato sauce, he's on a diet and it's going well so i know he's not putting on any weight by having it. I'm also adding about a teaspoon of tomato sauce when he has just plain kibble in the hope that it'll help stop him killing the grass in the garden (it seems to be working so far *fingers crossed*)
Anyway sorry for the long post but my main question is, can tomato sauce be harmful?
Don't know about tomato sauce Laey but could Alfie have the sardines etc.......... in olive oil instead of tomato sauce so if you are worried he would get less?
Just read Lacey on a thread on here that someone uses tomato juice not ketchup, unfortunately lost the flippin thread now otherwise I would have copied it here.
now you mention it Carroll, i remember reading that it was tomato juice hope tomato sauce isn't bad for him will switch him over to tomato juice thanks for your help
I dont think tomato sauce will have done Alfie any harm although it is quite high in sugar, so tomato juice would be better.
I give Abbey sardines in olive oil or sunflower oil, she has only just started having them but i plan to give them her twice a week to spruce up her burns and make her coat nice and shiney !
