National Microchipping Month - June 2007
NicolaL writes: " June sees the fifth annual National Microchipping Month organised by the Kennel Club, with special efforts this year from veterinary surgeries who will be holding microchipping clinics in their local area to support the campaign.
Microchipping clinics are part of a nationwide effort to encourage and promote responsible pet ownership through microchipping as the best method of identifying pets in case they go missing. They provide a great opportunity for pet owners to develop their understanding of the process and the support and services available to them and their pets through Petlog, the Kennel Club’s Pet Identification Service.
This year’s campaign is supported by Petlog Premium, and is set to be bigger than ever with the introduction of Petlog Premium Lifetime Membership, making it easier for pet owners to keep their contact details up-to-date. This is so crucial in our ever changing society, where people’s lives are busier and more people move house, in order to help reunite lost pets with their owners. Marc Abraham, resident vet on Channel 4’s The New Paul O’Grady Show, comments “With so many pets going missing every year, we really try and promote responsible dog ownership through Petlog Premium.
