Organise A Bluebell Walk For Charity! Canine Partners Announces Bluebell Walks 2
bradleysmum writes: " Monday 29th January 2007, West Sussex: Canine Partners (Registered Charity No. 803680), a charity specialising in providing highly trained assistance dogs to people with disabilities, is today announcing its Bluebell Walks 2007 Campaign. The Charity is currently looking for Walk Organisers throughout the country that want to set up an event in their area as a way to raise funds for Canine Partners, as well as participating in a fun and healthy day out for all the family.

The Bluebell Walk Campaign was officially launched in 2005 and has so far raised over £30,000 for Canine Partners. The idea is for a number of sponsored walks to take place from 22nd April-7th May 2006, when the bluebells are expected to be in bloom. These walks will give supporters the opportunity to get together with family, friends, work colleagues and others to take part in something fun and worthwhile with many including BBQs, raffles, lunch, refreshments etc.

“Last year 28 walks took place around the country raising just over £15,000 for Canine Partners, so our challenge is to beat that this year!” comments Malcolm Wells from the Charity. “A Bluebell Walk can be for 5-100 people, covering distances from 1 mile to 10 miles and participants don’t even have to own a dog. We ask anyone interested in organising a walk in their local area to get in touch with us for more information.”

All Walk Organisers will be sent a free information pack containing details on how to make the walk a great success, as well as sponsorship forms, posters, pens, badges and merchandise. Canine Partners are also happy to help publicise local walks to ensure the highest level of participation.

Please visit our website www.caninepartners.co.uk or call Malcolm Wells on 01730 716011 for further information on Canine Partners, organising a Bluebell Walk or identifying a walk near you.

About Canine Partners:
Officially launched in 1990, Canine Partners enables people with disabilities to enjoy greater independence and a better quality of life through the help of specially trained dogs.

Training assistance dogs to transform the lives of people with disabilities enriches human life in practical ways such as dressing and undressing, supermarket shopping and vital emergency response procedures. In addition it provides physiological, psychological and social benefits that help keep people healthy and happy.

As a registered charity Canine Partners receives no government funding and is wholly dependant on public donations and legacies.

For further information on fundraising, donations, volunteering or applying for a Canine Partner, please call 08456 580 480 or visit www.caninepartners.co.uk. "
