Default family tree

hi, i'm new to this forum! we recently lost our beautiful megan to cancer. She was a rescue dog, but we had her since she was 1. we got a handwritten pedigree with her and I'm desperately (obsessively!) trying to find if any of her relatives were bred again, to see if we could maybe welcome one of her great nieces or nephews into our home, as she is sorely missed.

Her sire was Quince and her Dam was Kenmillix of beauty (ag00832104)
gp
sire jetty of partridge and dam tess
sire dympner cotton picking and dam johns princess

ggp
bruce of partridge, northrepps liza
birdbrook clint of birchams, deputy ranger
sea urchin, dampener cotton
surf arnon, tudenham one and only.

it goes back further.

My megan's dob was august 2nd 2007.

Thanks

The name should be Kenmillix Lady of Beauty. I think you have a mixture of pet names and kennel club names but John Weller will be the man for more information on pedigree.

What I can say is that I notice a smattering of Norfolk based bloodlines with the mention of Birdbrook, Birchams and Tuddenham.

I'm 'ear Paul.

Bit tied up at the moment, but I'll have a look at your pedigree this evening and post.

Regards, John

Hello again Paul. Your dog was from a litter of five and with a mix of working and show dogs in her pedigree. One of that litter, "Be Lucky Lady" was mated to Levenghly Bee of Featherfly and produced four puppies. Again one of those pups was later mated 4 times to Sparbrook Echo. But although there are relatives of your dog around it's a bit of a dead end because none of those pups went to recognised breeders so I'd not have a clue of how to trace them.

As I said, your dog was a mix of show and work, and included some very old lines, many of which are no longer around. But it may well be that you might be able to find a puppy from a descendent of one of these. Poolstead still breed the occasional litter as do Rocheby, Sandylands and Warringah. Certainly the last 3 all have websites so this may well be a direction to try.

Regards, John

Firstly - so very sorry for your loss.

Secondly - I'm always in awe of the ability of John W to trace these things and the knowledge issued. Amazing

We are truly gutted Judy never had a litter but we wouldn't of been cut out for that anyway. Plus, she's a rescue and thank the lord we didn't breed as her ED showed up at around 5 years old.
Had a good old face bump with my Jude earlier, 8 years old now and gets right tired in the evening if she's a full day of walk, bit of play and an hour in the garden on a marrowbone. Love her to bits.

Sorry again for your loss

Good luck
