Default Runny eyes - any tips ?

Hi

Sasha has had runny eyes since we picked her up from the breeder. The breeder said to squeeze a tea bag into them and then wipe them. 8O The vet confirmed that this was ok !

They did seem to gradually get better but now just one eye seems to have started again, this time a little yellow "sleep" appearing.

I don't want to go rushing off to the vet in case its nothing. I am just using the tea bags again on her.

Any tips would be welcome !!

Keep on with the teabags gail, my two are getting slightly pink eyes and a bit of discharge in the corners with all the pollen and grass seeds about.

Just keep an eye on the whites of the eye, and inside the eyelids, make sure they're not red, and if she's rubbing them a lot, that might indicate it's a mild infection. I always keep a dropper of goldeneye in the fridge to help clear up any mild eye infections, optrex infected eye is also suitable, both available from the chemists and much cheaper than a trip to the vets, just don't tell them it's for the dog

Has a vet checked her eyes? Sometimes they can have something called 'entropian' when the eye lashes turn inwards and irritate the eye. If the vet hasn't had a good look I would get them to just in case.

Hi, yes the vet checked her eyes when I mentioned it to him. He didn't think there was a problem. If it continues or doesn't get any better I will let them take another look.

Thanks.
