Anyone else watching it?

I'm REALLY not a costume drama fan but I am totally in love with this show ops:

The actors, the costumes, the filming, the scenery..... I just love it all!

I want to live in that house and live that life, seriously I do!!

Sorry, gush over ops:

Haven't seen last night's yet, but taped it. Yes I LOVE it! But I do like the oldy worldy dramas.

I would also like to win the house and grounds in the lottery!

Another addict We photograph weddings at Highclere Castle where it is filmed and the interior is exactly the same as in the programme. It is funny watching it although the 'downstairs' set is in a studio.

Oh yes,Sunday is my new favourite night in. I love Downton Abbey. I am so sad that I even re watch the previous week's episode on the afternoon just to get me in the mood again.
Only 7 episodes though so it's over soon. I will be gutted in a couple of weeks.
Will Mary marry cousin Matthew...what do you think? Sybil is such a sweetie.I love how she is trying to get Gwen a new job and the scene where she came down to dinner in her funky 'trousers' The looks her family gave her were priceless!!

Great series and such a beautiful setting. They just had to have a lovely lab didn't they  His bum is the first thing you see in the opening titles...makes me giggle every week

Barbara, I do the exact same thing ops: OH doesn't get why I watch it again when I watched it last week

I think there is definitely a spark now between Mary and Matthew. I also like the story between Anna and Mr Bates. Hope O'Brien and Thomas get their comeuppance though..... oh dear, I'm getting far too involved  ops:

I found out today though that ITV have commissioned a second series... Yayyyy!!!

I've been watching it too and have found it quite good for a Costume Drama (some are very insipid), although I suspect that it because I love Maggie Smith....Such a fantastic actress .

I can't say I'd want to live that life though 8O . They are all so constricted and constrained by Rules and Traditions. I wouldn't last 2 seconds "downstairs" either, as if anyone spoke to me in such a patronising manner, I'd poke 'em in the eye.

It made me laugh last night when Anna said 'I love you Mr Bates' Does she actually know his Christian name

I hate Thomas and O'Brien. I was hoping the snuff box would end up in one of their rooms. I also hope Daisy and William end up together. When is someone going to tell Daisy that Thomas is gay? Mrs Patmore, bless her, was trying but failing!

So glad I'm not the only one whose OH thinks their wife is doolally ops:

Hmmm good point Jules  Not sure I could take being that constricted either, although I'd love to give some of those fabulous dresses a go

Barbara, you are definitely not alone with the OH thinking the wife is a loon
